The prepared and the unprepared take the same ACT, PSAT and SAT exam; that's an uneven playing field. An uneven playing field on a test that affects college entrance and scholarships can be costly. Be among the prepared. Peak performance in an endeavor requires that the participant be in a high alpha brain wave state, or, in other words, in a focused, relaxed state. In addition to teaching substantive knowledge, I use brain-compatible research in my classes with the goal of having my students maximize their college entrance test score.
A high GPA does not guarantee a high ACT, PSAT or SAT score. The ACT, PSAT and SAT are tests of skill and achievement that are proven to be affected by coaching.
The junior year is THE year for taking college entrance tests. That way the student is on his way to concentrate on college and scholarship applications and visitations his senior year.
